Just a doodley thing i was doin while i was listenin to a stream earlier today with Marcelo Vignali. I had to leave for work so i didn't get to finish it in that time, but i finished it off once i got home 8D I tried a little thing with no lines (it started with lines for the design) just once i added the colours, i took the lines away aaaaaannnd it evolved from there. I want to get better at coloured pieces. :(
So how many times a day am i posting now? Haha at least i'm posting.
Anyway this is from the chiustream tonight thats for when Marcela Vignali will be a guest on Saturday. His topic was mermaids, so i hope DEARLY that i don't work early on saturday. I really want to watch that stream.
I forgot to upload this, but its my finished Modern City layout from last assignment.
And just some progress on our final assignment for the semester:
working sketch
Rough blue
I'm kind of excited for this layout. Its definitely not as labour intensive or mind numbing as the layouts with all the BUILDINGS. Straight lines can really make someone go crazy.
So just recently I've started listening to musicals A LOT. I just can't stop. A very Potter Musical and WICKED. They are amazing.
anyway.
I compiled a whole bunch of life drawings together. One of the days some of these were from, I was TOTALLY on fire. It was a very strange feeling. But it might just have been too much sugar.
Soooo uhhm.... i was going to post an animation.... but blogger is being stubborn.
Newest Layout: Our theme was Amsterdam or "19th century" if i remember correctly. This of course gave me the opportunity to do a city that i love. So Venice i did.
Today i tuned it for the second time to Imaginism's Livechat with Bobby Chiu and today it had Peter de Sève as guest. They do a theme to draw each time, and today's theme was 'Something big, yet graceful'
So finally something to show for the new year. Just handed in first animation assignment today. I hope i never have to animate the pink panther ever again.
if you can't tell... he's getting beamed up by aliens.
New in-class assignment today that i QUITE enjoyed and was happy with the results. Had to do a pose test thingamajig for some dialogue from Robinhood and of course animate robin along to it.
WOOPS no eyes.
aaand some unfinished layout as of yet.... we have to have the final rough due for tomorrow. getting up early is FUN.
So lately, since i got my snazzy new computer, I've been drawing on the interwebs a bit. ... thought maybe i'd post some of my doodles~ and PS. my cintiq just got ordered YAY!
So after not drawing everyday for a while... it kind of felt like i forgot how to.
And then pokemon came back into my life and I designed a human version of the Pokemon Leafeon for my friend. I ended up making 3 versions until she liked how it came out.
Just some crappy photos with colours added in photoshop: I've also tried to get back into my story that I wrote my script for with Bill ... and did my final design package first semester for. I ended up tweeking the design a bit more but I like this pic that I did of my main character, Kage, for my story:
So I thought I'd post a few things from the end of the semester n stuff.
My final design project i had an idea for, but then, when i pulled my lovely all nighter on thursday I kinda redesigned everything and i liked them a whole lot more. Except that the love interest still required curly hair on his chest. And my final animation~ i don't like how in the end the music didn't sync up like it originally did.... but oh well.
Just thought I'd post some unfinished things that I be liking. I was doodling this in directing class... and used it as a base for my layout assignment. This one I'm QUITE happy with the background... since i always seem to fail at integrating characters and bgs. I shall hopefully finish it in the next week.
